Ideas are abundant and cheap

Ideas are everywhere. They are abundant, plentiful and cheap. Everyone has ideas, constantly pitching them, scheming and plotting. This is a good thing. Better to have ideas and not need them than to need them and not have them. But how do you separate the good ideas from the bad, and then the great from the good?

“Let them fight,” says Ken Watanabe in Godzilla.

Yes, ideas should be made to do battle. They should be put through their paces, stressed, bent, and stripped down. And if they survive, they will be stronger.

If they survive, then you will fight for them.
