Having been in business for a few years now, I admit that I have developed a distaste for legalese. I understand the need to protect oneself legally, but I also believe acting in good faith goes a long way. A prominent example in point: Warren Buffet, who is famous for handshake deals and one-page contracts devoid of legal jargon. Here is an example of one of his deals:
Buffet’s business style is admirable and inspiring. Moreover with his company, Berkshire Hathaway, being worth over $500 billion, he shows that it’s possible to do business simply and effectively, without muddying the process with the clutter of legalese. Simple is always the better option.
